Shady place. I was referred to this place by the hospital, after my hospital stay, in the beginning of May 2025. So I initially started my PT/OT sessions at the end of May, and from the very beginning, there had seemed to be miscommunication on what times these therapists were to be available. However, on one of my follow up appointments with one of my doctors, he suggested that I was still very weak and to wait a little while before I continued my PT/OT sessions, so I did. I contacted HomUnity and advised them of this and they said no problem. So come July 2025, I contacted Cecilia at HomUnity and stated that I would like to resume my sessions. I was met with hesitation and then told a week later that I needed a new referral. So I got one from my doctor and it was faxed over to Cecilia from my doctors office, and I also emailed it to her, all to be met with she never received it. More than a week later, she confirmed she received it after I emailed it again. Then, on 8/7/2025 I was told that I would be hearing from someone soon. Today is 8/19/2025 and I have not heard anything from anybody at HomUnity. So I sent Cecilia a text today asking her to cancel my PT/OT request moving forward. Here is my complaint: if you are fully booked and can't commit to any new patients, then just tell us. Why waste our time? I dont understand this. Meanwhile, I have been wasting time on my rehabilitation because of this. Who suffers, just me. Sam has been great from day one I absolutely love her. I highly recommend this company. I genuinely appreciate all the hard work they do for me. As a disabled person, I can’t do anything on my own, and I spend 24 hours in a bad state. Since the social services introduced home Unity for me, my life has completely changed for the better. They have an amazing manager who deals well with me, and they have professional workers and a caregiver who are both incredible. They go above and beyond to take care of me and are always there for me, even when the insurance approval process has been problematic, like at the beginning of this year when they stopped paying. I was shocked to learn that they continued to provide me with their services despite this. They know my health situation, and I trust them completely.
